Gift Guide Under $50: Things She Actually Wants This Holiday Season

If you follow me on Instagram, or you read my latest blog post, you’ll know that I hit a bit of a blogging low this past week, even questioning whether I wanted to continue blogging at all… Yup, it was the real deal of dark spots. Knowing that, you might see the title of this post and be a little, “uhhh, girl, you’ve been complaining about how generic/fake content can be, and yet here you are talking about gift guides.” Yup, I totally feel you: gift guides can be generic AF. But after chatting with several ladies throughout this blogging low of mine, I’ve realized there definitely is a way to build a platform, promote products, and do it in a way that feels right for me.

Bottom line: you should never feel pressured to make your blog into anything else other than what you want it to be. And really, that goes with anything in life. Just because everyone is doing something one way, doesn’t mean you have to. You’ve probably heard this so much by now that it’s lost some of its impact, but just remember, being true to yourself is what is going to make you shine. The second you start doing something just because everyone else is, is the second that you become generic. No thank you.

So hey, if I want to write a personal post on my struggle with blogging, I’ll do it.

If I want to write about my favorite makeup products, I’ll do it.

If I want to talk fashion one day, and then flip back to a bit of blogging wisdom the next day, you better believe I’ll do it!

And hey, if gift guides are where it’s at me for today, then yup, gift guides are going up.

Maybe I’m totally off on this, and I’m setting this blog up to fail, but there is such a strong part of me that believes that consistency, connection, and awesome content are what it’s all about.

blogging foundation

Clearly some of you on Twitter agree, so hey, that’s what I’m going to keep doing. (if you’re with me on this, let me know in the comments below!)

Okay, that is enough of my ramble!

If you’ve got holiday gift giving on the brain, I want to help you out a little.

I definitely don’t claim to be the best online shopper out there, but I know I’m someone who tries really hard to be thoughtful with all my gift giving. I figured some of these ideas might inspire those of you who are stumped about what to get the ladies on your list. Plus hey, everything on here is under $50, and there’s quite a few items that are even under $25. Double bonus!

Okay, now onto the shopping.

A Gift Guide For All The Ladies On Your List (under $50)

This post contains affiliate links, which simply means that if you do decide to purchase something using one of my affiliate links, I receive a small commission. This of course doesn’t cost you anything! (how lame would that be? lol). As always, thank you for supporting Hustle and Hearts. You rock, xo!

gift guide: blanket scarves

Have you ever known anyone to say they don’t love a good blanket scarf?

If you have, you seriously need to give that person a shake. Blanket scarves are pretty much the epitome of comfortable fashion. Seriously, throw a blanket scarf on, and you immediately gain style points. Not to mention, if you gift a blanket scarf, you’re pretty much giving the gift of comfort. Yes please!

I also love a blanket scarf as a gift idea because you don’t have to worry about fit. As long as you’re able to gauge the person’s general style, you’re pretty much guaranteed that person is going to love your thoughtful gift.

p.s. plaid is a huge trend for this Fall/Winter 2017, so you’ll gain some extra points by gifting that cute plaid blanket scarf, which just so happens to also be my personal fav.

gift guide: cozy sweaters

H&M is absolutely killing it with their sweater game. Seriously, I just went shopping this past weekend, and my arm actually hurt after from carrying around so many sweaters.

Gifting a sweater for the holidays is a little more complicated than a blanket scarf, because you have to worry about fit, but what I love about sweaters is thier baggy, loose fit quality. Unless you’re completely lost when it comes to guessing someone’s size, you should have no problem gifting a sweater for Christmas. In particular, I really love that red one right in the middle. Red ihas been one of most popular colour trends this season when it comes to fashion.

gift guideL girlboss mug

Okay, I don’t know if maybe I’m alone on this, but I am absolutely obsessed with coffee mugs. Like obsessed. If someone gives me a coffee mug, it’s pretty much guaranteed that you just made my day. Yup, the love runs deep. If you have any hard working ladies on your list who are obsessed with mugs like me, I guarantee you’ll make their day with one of these cute gems.

gift guide rose gold jewelry

I’m so happy that I was able to find some super cute options for rose gold jewelry under $50. I honestly couldn’t even pick my favourite item here. I don’t know about you, but I’m a huuuuge rose gold jewelry lover. If you know someone who has been sporting some serious rose gold bling, I highly recommend snatching up one of these beauties.

gift guide drugstore makeup

So if you read my post on my 7 Favourite Drugstore Beauty Products then you’ll certainly recognize these picks. You’ll also probably know I’m alllllllll about drugstore makeup. While I love the occasional Sephora indulgence, I more so love that you could gift someone multiples of these items, and still have the gift be under $50. I mean, the highlighter itself is only $5. Yup, $5. I actually wrote a whole post on the Essence Pure Nude Highlighter, because that’s how obsessed with it I am!

Throw them into stuffing stuffers, or make a big gift of multiples. Either way, drugstore makeup is probably one of my fav gifts ideas.

__

Trust me, guys, I totally get it. The holidays can be super overwhelming, especially when you’ve got a list a mile long of people to buy for. Eek, talk about stress! Not ideal. I really hope I was able to give you some ideas with this little list of mine. Let me know in the comments below if it helped at all! I know everyone and their mother is doing gift guides right now, so this will probably be my only one, but hey, if you want more, I wouldn’t object.

Oh and hey, if there’s anything on this list you want for yourself, don’t worry, I won’t tell anyone. A little treat ‘yoself never hurt anyone, right? 😉

Comments

  1. I’m in love with all of these picks! Especially the mugs and that red sweater is my favourite! This is such a great round up and I can’t believe everything is under $50! Soo excited for holiday shopping and gifting!

  2. I love so many of these ideas, I love when anyone buys me cosy things as well (I do love a good cosy robe and slippers!). Mug-wise I’ve also bought people some personalised mugs before from Etsy and that’s gone down super well 🙂
