Full disclosure here, my friends: I, by no means, follow a keto diet. In fact, carbs are probably my first love, so if you’re looking for someone who is an expert on the keto diet, it’s not me.
Having said that, recently, in an effort to get a little more fit and healthy for summer, I’ve been trying to decrease my carb intake.
Again, not to anything that resembles a keto diet, but more so just to something that keeps my carb intake lower than what I’ve been eating the past couple months (too much pizza, not enough veggies, ya know?).
And so, with all that in mind, today, I want to share with you 5 items that I picked up on Amazon that are keto-friendly, if you’re trying to go the keto route, but are also just “low carb,” if that’s more your goal, like myself.
All of these Amazon items are available in Canada for my fellow Canadians (so annoying when people recommend things I can’t get here).
Plus, I’ve also personally used all these items, and would (and have!) recommended them to my best friends, so you know they’re good.
Okay, enough of my rambles! Here are the 5 items I ordered, and what I’ve been doing with them to help decrease my carb intake, but also to keep me satisfied.

A Low Carb Diet and The Importance of Fibre
Okay, slight detour…
I couldn’t chat about low carb food without first mentioning the importance of fibre on a low carb diet, because it’s something I only learned about a year ago, and it’s something that I think anyone who wants to lead a healthy lifestyle should be aware of.
When you follow a high-fibre diet, it automatically lowers your carb intake.
How?
Well, for any carbs you eat, you can subtract the amount of fibre you eat, and this number results in your NET carbs.
CARBS – FIBER = NET CARBS
Your NET carbs are actually the amount of carbs that your body is using.
I’m not going to go into the science of how that works because it’s not my area of expertise, but it’s just something that I think is important to be aware of, especially when you’re trying to decrease your carb intake.
In other words, increase your fibre, and your carb intake will automatically go down, too (just be sure to drink a lot of water if you suddenly increase your fibre intake; your stomach will thank me).

The guest is well-known nutritionist Tanya Zuckerbrot of the F Factor Diet Plan, and her insights on nutrition and health changed A LOT for me in terms of how I think about food.

Bottom line: fibre is good, fibre is in all of these products I’m about to mention, and we could all probably use a little more fibre in our lives.
And so, without further ado, let’s get into these low carb, keto foods from Amazon, shall we?
The Best Low Carb, Keto Food On Amazon:
1) Zeroodle Organic Spaghetti
For an alternative to traditional spaghetti, this low carb option from Zeroodle option is perfect.
It works out to only be 3g net carb per serving, and you’ve got 15g of fibre in there, which will definitely keep you full.
In fact, when I eat regular spaghetti, I almost always go for seconds, but when I made this keto-friendly spaghetti, I just had one bowl and I was good.
Throw some pasta sauce on it (I’ve seen this one recommended so many times as a healthy option), and BAM, you’ve got yourself an easy, healthy dinner that also tastes great!
** Keep in mind, you don’t get the exact same texture as spaghetti, but it’s close enough that I will definitely be reordering this in the near future! (even my boyfriend enjoyed it).
2) NutiLight Dark Chocolate Hazelnut Spread
Not going to lie, this is probably my FAVORITE thing that I purchased in my little low carb Amazon haul, because yes, chocolate is my best friend.
And omg, this dark chocolate spread should be a must-have in everyone’s cupboards.
It’s sooooo good!
Definitely a little thinner in consistency than Nutella, but the actual taste is almost the exact same!
But there’s NO added sugar in it (!!!), it’s only 80 calories/1 TBSP (that’s less than peanut butter), and there’s actually 5g of fibre in there, which is pretty wild when we’re talking about a freaking chocolate spread!
Can you tell I’m a little in love with this one?
If you have a sweet tooth like me, and you’re looking for something that can help curb those chocolate cravings without having to indulge in a whole chocolate binge session, I HIGHLY recommend adding this to your Amazon cart ASAP.
BONUS Keto Food Tip:
I also have these dark chocolate (fibre-rich!) chips on my list of healthy snack options to try from Amazon. If you’ve ever had SkinnyPop (it’s basically just low-calorie popcorn), I would imagine throwing a couple of these into your bowl of popcorn would make for an AWESOME combo of salty and sweet… Wow, think I’m going to go put those in my cart now…
3) Farm Girl Low Carb Keto Crust Pizza
I made this for dinner on Saturday night, and it’s definitely a great low carb option to have in your pantry for those nights where you want pizza, but you’re not feeling like blowing all your healthy eating goals in one sitting (been there, done that).
I wouldn’t say this keto pizza crust is as satisfying as your traditional doughy pizza crust, but again, it’s an amazing alternative.
Plus, it’s legit so easy. You just add a little water and oil to the contents of the bag, and you’ve got yourself a pizza crust that’s only 3g net carbs!
I’ll let that sink in… Only 3g net carbs FOR PIZZA!
And again, fed it to the BF, and he seemed to approve. Another repurchase for me.

4) La Tortilla High Fibre Whole Wheat Tortillas
Possibly my second favorite keto purchase on this list, these tortillas shells are really coming in handy.
I don’t notice any difference in taste in comparison to my regular tortillas shells, but these ones have way less carbs and keep me full and satisfied for much longer.
Taking a look at the nutrition facts, there’s 6g net carbs, 13g fibre, and only 110 calories per shell, which I’m all for!
In particular, I’ve been loving these low carb tortillas as a snack. I simply throw some peanut butter in there, fold it all up so it’s a little triangle, and I’m good to go. It’s been PERFECT for that 4pm snack where I’m not ready for dinner yet, but I need a little something.
And hey, if you’re feeling like you need a little indulgence, I you only imagine how good this would be with peanut butter AND the dark chocolate spread mentioned above. I’m getting hungry just thinking about it.
In addition, if you’ve got dinner on the mind, tonight, I believe I’m going to have one with some veggies, chicken, tatziki, and feta for my own little version of a chicken wrap.
So easy, so good, so healthy, and so freaking convenient that I can just order this directly from Amazon!

5) Farm Girl Low Carb Bread Mix
And lastly, Farm Girl’s Low Carb Bread Mix.
Personally, I’m not really trying to cut out bread (again, not keto over here), and I wouldn’t make this all the time as a bread substitute (too pricey too constantly be purchasing).
BUT
If you are trying to totally eliminate bread from your diet, or you just want a low carb option every once in a while (me!), this keto bread mix should be on your radar.
Similarly to the pizza crust mentioned above, you just add oil and water to the pre-packaged mix (this time you’ll need some apple cider vinegar and 1 egg white on hand as well).
